Community Support Aide (Community Living & Supports)
NuLook Home Care Agency is seeking compassionate and dependable Community Support Aides to provide Community Living & Supports (CLS) services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and behavioral health needs.
As a Community Support Aide, you will help individuals build independence, achieve personal goals, develop daily living skills, and actively participate in their communities. This is a community-based position that focuses on teaching, coaching, and supporting—not simply completing tasks for the individual.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide Community Living & Supports (CLS) services according to each individual's Person-Centered Plan.
- Assist individuals in developing independent living skills.
- Support community integration and participation in recreational, educational, vocational, and social activities.
- Teach daily living skills such as budgeting, meal preparation, hygiene, organization, shopping, and time management.
- Encourage independence while respecting individual choice.
- Transport individuals to approved community activities when appropriate.
- Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.
- Report incidents, concerns, or changes in condition promptly.
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
- Participate in required training and supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
- Reliable transportation.
- Current automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass criminal background screening.
- Ability to work independently within the community.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Experience in behavioral health, direct support, human services, education, social work, or home and community-based services.
- CPR and First Aid Certification.
